Allison Bussiere
Food Systems Coordinator
Allison first discovered Gather, then the Seacoast Family Food Pantry, as part of a grassroots community group learning about food insecurity on the Seacoast back in 2013. Their innovative programs motivated her to get directly involved. An avid cook, she started volunteering in the early phases of what has grown into Cooking 4 Community and has been involved ever since. She joined the staff in early 2022 to coordinate the Seacoast Food Providers Network, a program aimed at sharing resources, building capacity, and reducing food waste in the Seacoast region. Her role has since expanded to Food Systems Coordinator, where she works with groups at the local, regional, and state levels to build partnerships, inform programming, and strengthen the food system.
Allison has a BS in Occupational Therapy from Queens University, a Nonprofit Management Certificate from UNH, and is an alumna of the Leadership Seacoast Class of 2023. With a background in health care, education, and non-profit sectors, she brings a versatile blend of experience in communication, strategy, development, and collaboration to the team. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on the water, walking her dogs, knitting, and enjoying live music with family and friends.
