Ken commenced his involvement with Gather as a volunteer in June 2020: a serendipitous encounter, considering his background and volunteer history had been in the fine arts, architecture, research, and law. Ken assumed his current position in January of 2022. The ever-changing challenges of the pandemic, economy, and community support keep this job fresh and fascinating.

“I don't have to go to work, I GET to work with Gather,” Ken says, “I so enjoy meeting and connecting with the vast range of Gather members; it has truly been a rewarding experience. My interactions with the amazing team of Gather volunteers is one of the most gratifying encounters.”

Living in Portsmouth since the 1990s, Ken enjoys all that the Port City has to offer, working on his late Victorian house, and escaping to Short Sands Beach in the summertime.
