Mary Fernald started volunteering at Gather in 2017. In the summer of 2021, she started work as a Pantry Associate. Now she’s proud to say she’s worked her way up to Pantry/Warehouse Associate, which pretty much means she sees what the pantry needs and pulls it from the warehouse.

She absolutely loves her interactions with our members. Being a lifelong Portsmouth resident means she shares some of the same recollections and enjoys chatting about them, and hearing about them from different views.
