Susan Grodman
Director

Susan’s professional life took a circuitous route, with stints in hospitality management, banking, and health care; eventually landing in education administration. For the last 18 years of her career, she worked at The Derryfield School, where she had what she describes as “the best job ever.” Since retiring from her role as Associate Head of School, she continues to do periodic consulting work for Derryfield and other independent schools.

Involvement in the community has always been a priority for Susan, whether it was designing and leading service programs for students or volunteering for various organizations. She has been on several boards in the Manchester area and has served as a mentor for the New Hampshire Center for Non-Profits’ Hoffman-Hass Fellowship, helping to prepare others for board participation.

Susan and her husband moved to the seacoast several years ago and absolutely love living here. In addition to volunteering, Susan spends her free time visiting grandchildren, traveling the world, seeking out good food (especially ice cream), exercising, and enjoying the seacoast arts and culture scene.
